1/13/05- Fished the area just above Knights Ferry for a few hours. The water is still muddy, but clearing. Hooked four and landed two, none over 15". I started with #16 rubber leg beadhead prince and red brassie dropper with no luck. When I switched to #14 Fox's caddis pupa (orange/red)with the brassie, the fish became interested. After the first two fish took the caddis nymph, I 86'ed the brassie, as it didnt seem necessary. It wasn't, as I hooked two more on the caddis alone. Because the water is still pretty murky, the larger, more colorful nymphs are the way forward.
