Went out to the antioch bridge for lite action on the sturgeon last week caught one shaker and lots of bites and a few small stripes. went out saturday night just a hair to breezy for choppey waves and a very hard outgoing tide with way to much weeds in the river to keep your line in less than a minute trip was a bust hopeing for favorable tides this week
I am going to finally start trolling for stripes again water temp is perfect at 71 degrees

Ive been still trolling nailing smaller stripers lately some still keepers but mostly small now.
Time to switch up and try something new the hot weather
has warmed up the water to much for the big stripers to stay in my slough. Ive seen realy nice catfish jumping lately

I went to prosser and fished hobart mills and the dam area.
me and a buddy got 4 fish at the mills from 6am to 7:30
1 of the fish was a fat 4lb smallmouth the rest were rainbows.
Switched sides of the lake and ended up with four rainbows
two fish were creek sized fish the other were nice holdovers.
Went back the next morning yesterday by the dam got three
quik small stockers. Then it died so we switched to the middle of the lake and got skunked.
The weather was crazy hot for trout get there early as possible
for your best chances from the bank.
Best Luck on the lake im sure was downriggers in the middle of the lake thats were all the boats seemed to be trolling.
When it gets this hot i usally fish streams or rivers i tried but all the rivers and streams were pushing way to hard.
Also all the lakes up there are full capacity and still rising crazy.

Ive yet to see any reports on delta fishing from anybody yet ?
I trolled dutch slough sunday afternoon as soon as our lines hit the water we boated a 25incher then we started back through the same zone and nailed a 23incher.
We went back a few more times hooked up with one more
that got off as soon as the dark set in the fishing turned off.
I was having realy good luck trolling at night during the full moon maybe its to dark or the fish just arent feeding at night anymore. I went out trolling during the night last week and got skunked for the first time. I did notice the huge incline of
moss growth due to warmer water its definatley much harder to keep your lures down in the zone long enough to hook up.

i went to anchor bay over the weekend and camped with my family and freinds tried to throw a swim bait in the surf didnt get any action fished a small bass pond nearby also got skunked. I was headed to dillions beach or tomales bay area
but all the sites were full, so we pushed on to the last open campsites all the way up to anchor bay.
Unless your a ab diver or fisherman with a boat forgot paying
40$ a night to camp next to lots of people.
I have yet to troll this week havent had time between work
and family time. but my buddy ron has been on the same school of stripers out in front of my house at dutch slough.
They seem to be sitting in 6 to 10ft of water on sand flats he caught 6 keepers
sunday and only got one tuesday afternoon. So far this has been the best run of spring stripers for this area ever.
Usally we get tiny dinkers this time of year i usally target catfish.

I fished yesterday afternoon for three hours me and twoo freinds ended up with
8 total fish only two small keepers the water temp is 75 and trolling is still working great until the stripers quit biting i will keep trolling.
One of these nights i will go catfishing i will probably wait for a hundred degree
day then go at night.
Anybody else out there troll at night for stripers i am starting to find out how productive night trolling can be.

I fished dutch slough the last two weeks trolling rebels and shad combos scoring lots of stripes ranging 16 to 24 inches also lost a few much bigger fish.
I'm averaging 4 to 10 keepers on 2 to 3 hour trips anybody else notice this
new delta page. The water temps are warming up this week tremendously
it went from 63 to 73 in 1 week that equals usualy a good catfish bite for anyone fishing the delta.
I just hope the stripers hang around this year.
