I FISHED THE SMITH ON 1/23 1/24. THE RIVER IS IN GOOD SHAPE. I CAUGHT A FISH ON THE 23RD AND LOST A COUPLE ON 24TH. THE WATER IS A LITTLE TO COOL FROM THE SNOW MELT ,WHEN IT WARMS UP IT SHOULD BE REALLY GOOD. THE BOATS HAD FISH ON EVERYTIME I SEEN THEM. |

I fished it not to long ago and the steelhead are in. I Caught 6 and hooked 9. most of the time i was fly fishing with a green clouser minnow but i hooked my biggest fish on a woley bugger. |
