San Antonio has pretty nice bass fishing if you have a boat. If you don't have a boat, try fishing next to the boat launch docks. I always catch fish there, usually casting parallel with the dock from shore. I've caught some really nice size fish off the docks. Be sure you don't get in the way of the boats, though, the park rangers don't like that. When the water level is higher some of the trees shade parts of some coves. In those coves, Try casting near hiding spots for bass, like trees in the water. I've caught quite a few crappie at lake san antonio too, in the coves on red and white squid jigs.
