went to berryessa pope creek bridge used up 4 doz minnows for 3 trout 8 bass 6 crappie we bobber fished and drop mionnows for crappie missed a lot of hits on the crappie then we decided to troll oboy what a afternoon we were trolling raplas and it was on when we found the huge schools of bait and i mean huge evrytime we went threw the bait fish it was on we limited out on our trout the trouit were up to 3.5lbs and avereaged 2lbs we hooked 15 on the troll 2 small mouths one 3.5 lbs and 3.0lbs and alot of little bass guys berryessa on fire dont be a wisherman go be a fisherman

I hiked along the trail at the north end of the lake yesterday and the cove was absolutely alive with catfish in the reeds. Too bad I didn't have any tackle with me.

mr. gill,

try to the left of the boat launch down the dirt road. about 200 yards down or so to the pointof the cove. I used worms and later I used small kastmasters. I caught a few 9-10" rainbows. They were small, but fun.

went fishin on the back side this morning using worms i had just dug up.i used a sliding bobber on one rod and a trout set up on the other(sinker on bottom with two hooks).not evan a bite.i haven't landed a trout out of this lake in years,i've tried power bait,worms,and lures and still nothing.

It has to do with the genetic diversity of native trout specific to that body of water being negatively impacted by breeding with planted individuals.

The one storm we had in October did little to bring the water up. It's still pretty low and I haven't heard much of anything being caught. Waiting for a good series of storms to roll in so the catfish will move into the north end.

Went out 2/27 lake was full adn just stocked. To cold for now still, has not turned yet. Trollers were hitting trout in deeps around 20-35 feet. Looking forward to warmer weather and when it turns should be awesome!!!

2 years ago lake was hot! nice and quiet and clean, no motor sports! you can hit big ass, huge sun fish and tasty trout. Last year no rain and couldnt even launch boat. Going out this Monday since lake is full and planted!
