Middle fork comes out of Beardsly Reservoir. Yes there are fish in there. You can drive down to the dam and hike it. Highway 108 also runs along it between Clark Fork and Kennedy Meadows.

I went there just yesterday and got a nice 7 pounder. he came on a large orange steeamer fly.

Sat, 02/06. I spent a day on the Stanislaus near Tulloch lake then by the covered bridge in Knights Ferry. Sorry to say that the fish were not biting, which was the common experience of other anglers I came across today.
