Crappie were hitting hard last time out (mid May), also did some flycasting for bass on the East side of Deep Cat - 2 small throwbacks- bass are slowing now (early June,2010) according to local scuttlebutt. Considerably less fishing pressure since quagga mussel preventative measures were implemented a few years ago.

I just moved down to southern cal and went to Casitas lake. Wow fishing conditions are tough. Cold dirty water sucks. I fished hard all day and cought 5 bass biggest going about four pounds. I need some pointers on how to catch numbers

I fished it once about 2 years ago and i caught a few trout about 15 inches and one about 20.

Caught a bunch of trout Tuesday 12/28/04. Santa Ana Creek arm, new plants 1.5-3 lb.
