Thanks for the info Gus Bee but I'm really trying to figure out how you found a skate and sand shark at Ashley Lake (in Montana!). Where those guys land-locked after the ice age? LOL!

School of blues came through this morning just as we came out of the inlet, running just 50 yds. offshore, followed by some spotty fluke and stripers as we changed to jigging. Wind shifted out of the northeast in the afternoon brought nothing but an occasional weakfish. Johnny caught a sea robin, while Patty caught a skate and a small sand shark. Headed back around 4:00. Quite choppy getting back in.

I don't blame you Erik. We have the same problem in the Columbia river near me. The fish and game have actually been paying people to catch the squawfish.
