We do a lot of fishing by boat back in the meadows. During the summer, which I will hit a few more times this year, bait off the the bottom in 10 to 15 feet water brings in some nice trout.

In the early the early part of spring, late winter, fish the day use area cast towards the dam. In the later part of the spring to early summer months, fish near the mouths of any sort of streams that are still running, privides great waters for the nice brooks that are here. Any black fly works good, try to match the hatch, black rooster tails does the trick.

I'm going to hunt the area in October. Might as well do a little bank fishing as well. Any suggestions what part of the lake is best from the bank ? Which campground is the best ?

So you were trolling. I guess that means you caught a Kokanee? Thanks for the info Stayer.

Fishing was horrible tried many ways. Saw the fish on the fish finder, but no bites. Saw one fish caught on the west end trolling a worm.

I was looking for current info but might as well share my experience last spring. Trolled in my canoe around the southern half shores and caught a couple nice rainbows and small kokanees on some brown and gold rapala's. I'd like to find some info on Clackamas Lake and some of the smaller waters that aren't so overrun with campers and tourists.

Timothy is a decent lake with good numbers of trout and so lanlocked kokanee salmon. Lots of crayfish, alot of camping space make this a crowded stay.
