Hey when is that Fall Chinook run hitting the river? The Salmon Derby is happening soon Sept. 1,2,3rd. Must mean the fish are on their way.

The boats are doing very well side drifing on the South Umpqua but some rain would help. I have seen quite a few taken at the Myrtle Creek bridge area from the bank. Small baits of eggs with red corkie has been working well.

South Umpqua just started producing lots of fish. Side drifting with eggs seems to be the best. The Canyonville park to Larson bar drift has been doing well.
