Kyle 05/09/2010 19:24:31 GMT
Killed it yesterday, caught a MASSIVE Summer Hatchery with meat brighter then a Salmon. I was in awe...Bait, spinners, back bouncing etc....It all works, gotta find where the fish are holding and be patient. Also gotta be willing to hike down some CRAZY shit sometime!
2 many assholes 03/30/2010 13:35:46 GMT
I have too much luck on bait mind blowing skillz try a different cure! springers are in switch it up great time 2 get eggs as they mature if you cure yourself fresh is the ticket
chris 03/26/2010 21:24:52 GMT
with this rain it should drag in some new fish.I would try drifting or put a sandshrimp on a ledhead jig and use a flote.also I am tired of people saying you did not hear it from me or there are 2 many assholes letting the cat out of the bag. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT POST. The Siletz has ben top producer for the 30 years I've fished it.

nice, I havnt had much luck w/ bait this year, Ive got em on spinners and spoons, but I am also bank fishing, can you use divers off the back or is it more of a center of the river type of fishing, thanks.
chris 03/24/2010 20:35:58 GMT
diver @ bait. Use a big hook on the back so you do not hookem to deep, lots of nates around this time of year.
colin 03/23/2010 16:32:52 GMT
what you hook em on? you should let me use your boat.
chris 03/17/2010 16:52:40 GMT
My boat hooked 8 landed 6 so it is not over yet so go get some crome.

banking, i wish i had a drift. but it seems those guys just cruise by epic spots that hold good fish, i saw them pull off to re tie rigs, then i walked down and spotted 2 fish spawning right under where their boat was.
Justin 02/05/2010 04:28:11 GMT
Colin, were you drifting or banking it up in the gorge?
Colin 02/03/2010 01:22:14 GMT
I got a 16lb summer last weekend and a nice 12 lb chome. both on spiners.
Brandon 12/17/2009 19:19:43 GMT
Any updates or news on the steely run on siletz?
fishONgirl 03/05/2009 18:16:55 GMT
Hey thanks, It helps a bunch. Maybe the next time I write is to say how big my fish was. THANKS
Osprey 03/05/2009 17:34:49 GMT
Drive up the river, take a look, start fishing. Lots of places to get to the river. Its getting later in the season, go up farther and fish. Corkies ,jig and floats, hardware, they all work in the right water conditions. Still lots of fish to be caught this year, go fish.

Thanks Randy for your advise, so you dont like the Monshine area?, where should I be.
Randy 03/02/2009 09:14:36 GMT
Looks like you all need to go with a GUIDE or something. and quit going to Monshine area. I have caught 14 Steelhead at siletz in past 3 weeks all on holemade spinners!
DNA fishONgirl 02/26/2009 15:53:02 GMT
One more thing, what is the best way to fish there, Jigs,Bait,Corkie/Yarn, how long of liter line, any tips would help big time.

Osprey 02/12/2009 19:57:05 GMT
They clearcut the deadline area. Gonna be some dirty water and messed up spawning areas if it ever rains again. Whats up with the rain? Slow fishing for me up there
Special k 01/17/2009 11:30:53 GMT
Four of us tried for hours at moonshine. I hooked one and it beat me. It was the only fish I saw hooked between nearly twenty people all day.
Brandon 12/17/2008 22:52:54 GMT
Any news on fish or water levels comin in on the Siletz after all this extreme rain and snow.....
corknyarn 03/09/2008 20:36:28 GMT
fishing has slowed big time. Very few fish are being caught at Moonshine. fished for 7 hrs today without a bite, saw 2 caught all day. water level has dropped but the fish have moved out
