Can anyone tell me of a great place to fish please be detailed this is my firt time fishing the sandy but many times fishing for steelhead without any luck. I will be fishing on the bank. any help would be great. THANKS

I live about 1/2 hour from the Sandy. I know it's a popular river. I was by there a few months ago and I remember seeing a huge hog line of boats at the mouth (on the Columbia). I don't recommend throwing rocks though! LOL! Thanks for the great report Bob.

Seems that the guides love to pull plugs through all the good drifts. I guess this is another river that is being overrun by the guides. If you fish from the bank, bring a rock for the boats that mess up your drift!
