how 'bout Signore Cootio?

local coot 07/23/2007 17:30:12 GMT
army dave - i stand corrected: locals have long called it the bogi. non-locals, on tother hand, are just trying to be cool when they do so ("oh yeah, me and the boys fished the bogi last week and caught us a mess o' fish") its as if a stranger addressed me as "cootie"-only friends and kin can do that. to strangers, i'm coot, or mr. coot, or monsieur le coot - you get the idea.

Coot - I grew up on the Bogi, and call it the bogi - AND three rivers serves a bogi burger.

Inside joke between Jim and I at the time. Ive been in Hawaii the past three years with just a smattering of river fishing. But Ive fished a ton of rivers over the past 25 years or so and caught steelhead from Malibu creek 1 mile from malibu beach {Still has a wild run of 50 fish or so in 3 miles of stream below the dam} to the Kispiox Near Alaska. I was helping Jim get this site started a bit then and weve all been busy with a lot of projects but we're putting some juice into the site for a while here now so things should pick up info wise

Jeff, do you have a rubber stamp that reads "your problems obvious"? Or do you say it automatically whenever Jim ventures a brilliant remark? And Jim, nobody calls it the "Bogi" And why am I even bothering with guys who have disappeared for the last three years? Keeps you away from the big stucc and the big, little, upper, and sideways deschutes, anyhow.
