I went to the Green River yesterday to check out the fishing off of W. Meeker street below the bidge and saw a lot of ugly and illegal fishing tactics going on. 90percent of the fish were snagged and retained by the people. I had so cell phone so I couldnt call the Fish and Game. You can see the school of fish swimming a figure eight through the deep whole all day.

ANOTHER YEAR OF ILLEGAL FISHING ON THE DUWAMISH

Under the West Seattle Bridge where the Duwamish emties into Elliot Bay again another year of illegal fishing going on.
Just like last year and the year before and before that....
A great many anglers (they should be called SNAGGERS) are fishing without license's and they not only don't hide the fact, they seem to brag about it.
When a school swims by, they use their over sized hooks to snag these fish anyway they possibly can running up and down the boardwalk to get to them. Some of these guys are only using hooks with weights !!
When a wild Chinook was caught was caught on Sunday Aug. 28th, another angler told the guy it was wild so the guy catching it, cut off the fin and said " Not Anymore".
Another fellow had 6 hooks on his line, all large enough to bank a sea lion. Others who saw this just laughed.
I have never seen Fish and Game come down to check on anyone, not even the homeless guys who hide under the bridge with their home made net and net the fish by hand.
If you respect fishing as a sport or pay your license fee's because your honest, then please send an email to Fish and Wildlife about this location. The more complaints, the more likely they will come out.

Try using a pink or orange 2" buzz bomb with a pink hook. when they start coming in more they'll bite.

Went to the bridge by riverbend and watched a few schools of kings roll by, a couple monsters in the bunch! Hopefully they make a comeback and we can fish it again!!! Saw a couple dummies fishin for kings, told them it was closed but they didn't care! Why don't people like that jus go to the store and buy a fish with all the time and gear and obviously they don't care bout the sport!
