I used to live in Everett and Arlington but I've been down in the Vancouver area for a couple of years now. I'm not sure if Steel Lake is closed. It shouldn't be too hard to find out. Cheers.

Dominic, one of the best things you can do is find a local angler and start asking questions. I'm sure there are trout in Steel Lake but you need to find our how deep they are and what they are biting on. Go to the closest tackle shop and start asking quesitons. Make sure you buy something so they feel good about helping you out. Then after you catch some fish, come back and let us know you did.

steel lake is pretty nice. If you are fly fishing the 'ol steel lake park, it's alright. I have not caught any fish at steel lake yet. But boy oh boy when i do!!! I am trying for trout right now seeing how i dont know what kind of fish are in this and usually trout are in every lake. im not sure if it's my lack of experience or the lake that is not making me catch anything. But hey why not give the 'ol fishin' hole a try?
