I just came back from the north fork, and I had a great day. I rose about 75 fish on a grasshopper pattern, most of them in the 5 to 10 inch range, bu about 8 above 10 inces. my larges was 13 inches. I had some decent luck fishing with streamer flies. I caught several nice rainbows and 2 white fish. the whitefish where about 11 inches and the rainbows where 7, 13, and 12, inches.

Also, their are some nice whitefish in the north fork and they will take any nymph or streamer. their are about even numbers ofcutthoat and rainbows in the north fork that average about 5 to 12 inches with fish over 12 certainly possible to catch.

If you want to fish the north fork, you should use streamer flys such as woley buggers in the deep pools and i have found that a grass hopper pattern woks very well and also large royal wolfs. If you want nymph, than i would sugjest a pheasent nail or a prince nymph, any size works well. i have caught some nice fish about 13 or 14 inches out of the north fork bu the average is about 6 inches.
