tried all day and only had small bites, only worthy catch to be had was 3-4 lb steele at the skagit/ cascade mouth.

Coho are all red and mostly boots. Steelhead were there today.

RAH,The water hight was close to optimum.The Coho's were mostly red,but a few were still silver.The Steelhead were very bright.Good luck if you go this weekend,please report back how you did,might fly back out!

@Niagramusky- I looked at river flows on the 9th. The river should be back to that height (and dropping like it was on the 9th) tomorrow. Was that height on the high side or close to optimium?
Are the coho now "boots" or were they still in good shape?

I was up on the Cascade River Nov 9th,caught Hatchery Steelhead of 5 lbs and 10lbs.Also caught & released 11 Coho,most were red in color. Every fish came on a small indiana spinner blade with one red bead,10 lb fluorocarbon leader,on medium action spinning rig!Steehead were stacked behind the Coho at 1st hole below the Hatchery creek.I would say that this latest round of high waters has moved more Steelies up. Back in Buffalo,NY wishing I could get back soon!

Went up concrete saturday to our lot on the river caught 1 silver hen, seen a bunch roll thru. hard fishing did some lure donation, that suck. Fish on people, I'm heading back to scookum creek about 9:30am.....Have fun today

Fished Cascade This morning with a little luck. Hooked one 10IB Coho while drifting eggs on a bobber. 7 out of the 10 fishermen I saw had 2 or 1 fish in hand. Fishing slowed before noon.

fished from nine a.m. to 5 p.m. with shrimp and eggs hoping for a late steelhead,no luck, isnt worth the gas mony for only two twelve inch dollies.

Very slow today and my buddy has been hitting it regularly and has not seen many come out other than old chums and silvers. Looks like another slow year for the Cascade.
