ross lake has big trout in it go down to little beaver
use a down rigger at 100 ft ross lake us to be hot fishing
but when they put no bait ban it went down hill those wild
trout dont like lures they are native fish

I've had 20+ fish days on the upper portion of the lake where it meets the Upper Skagit River. Usually I go in Sept and early Oct. You need a Canadian Licence though. Not HUGE fish by any means but 13"-18" consistantly.

Thanks JD for the report on Ross Lake. I've been to Ross Lake once. I know it's beautiful up there but I didn't have a chance to fish it. Maybe someone who reads this can comment on where the legendary large fish are.

fished ross lake at the hozomeen end from July 4-7 with crappy results. Fish caught were in the 12-14" range. I thought this place was legendary for big fish?
